Description:
The converter is redesigned to last longer for performance applications than the original, with increased performance and gas mileage through a more efficient flow of power from the engine to the transmission. Which makes it a perfect upgrade for a daily driven vehicle as well. This torque converter is mechanically setup tighter than the stock torque converter. It has an upgraded captive clutch with an 80% increase in holding capacity. The stator is replaced with one for performance to transfer more power from the engine to the transmission sooner in the throttle range. Expect use-able power gains of 10-15% in the TQ ramp in rate. What I mean by TQ ramp in rate is TQ requested by throttle input. You get to use a lot more of the total TQ sooner throughout the throttle range.
The TQ converter weighs about 40lbs which is 2-3lbs less like stock.
